Guardianess of the Walls was filmed in May 2021 at Tel Aviv’s Braverman Gallery, during the IDF assault on Gaza code-named  “Operation Guardian of the Walls.

Replacing the word Guardian with ״Guardianess״ in the title of the work, turns the masculine guardian into a feminine guardianess, introducing an alternative to the hostile and militaristic status quo.

Pereg invited the dancer and choreographer Iris Erez to improvise possible assemblies of the sculpture OPTIMUS, thus turning the exhibition space into a buffer zone where battle relics become a playground, an invitation for new games, rules, and hierarchies. ​
